I need money to fix the kitchen and bathroom that I am buying.?
i am buying a house for the first time, it is huge but the cabinets are non-functional so I have to replace them a.s.a.p. The carpets are extremely dirty so I have to replace them as well. I don't have the cash now to fix them. I would like to know if I can ask the bank to add few thousands for the cost of the kitchen and carpet repair. Please let me know.

- ask the seller for consessions- money they give back to you in cash. To do inexpensive repairs- paint the floor after removing the carpet and have open cabinets with the background painted a bright color.
- You can ask for a cash back option on your mortgage or look into a line of credit, if you have a car or something that would give you some net worth. Lines of Credit will have lower interest rates than those of a home improvement store and are always there when you need them. As for the cash back option they don't tend to give a whole lot of money back but enough to help out. Typically they are 1-3% of the purchase price. So, if you bought the house for 100K then you could get back something like $1000. Your lender will have some ideas for you.
