How to decorate a Kitchen turned Craftroom?

We have just moved into a new house. The basement has a 2nd kitchen that I want to turn into a Scrapbooking Room. It has no windows, so it is a little "cave like". How can I decorate it to make it feel bigger and brighter, as well as happy and creative?
