- You need to vacuum and then clean with bleach if at all possible. I would through all the toys in the dishwasher or washer before letting the kids play with them again.Wash all of your dishes, pot and pans thoroughly. Mop your kitchen floors and put rat traps where the kids cannot reach. Usually if there is one there will be another. Good Luck!
- A good disinfectant cleaner should do the trick. Hit the cleaning aisle at your local supermarket and check out the products there. I believe that Clorox makes good stuff. I've seen some stuff advertised recently called Clorox Anywhere Hard Surface Daily Sanitizing Spray, and I would certainly trust it. You can use it on the toys, too. Be sure to read the labels and make an informed purchase. Clean out each cabinet, one by one. Put all dishes through the dishwasher.
- Mice are nasty little critters spreading germs everywhere they go. Soak your toys in diluted bleach water and then allow them to air dry. You can do this with your dishes and pots too just don't over do the bleach. This is how restaurants clean their dishes so it won't hurt you at all. You can clean your kitchen with any cleaner your used to or fill a spray bottle with the bleach solution and wipe off all the surfaces. But you may have more than one mouse so you will have to trap them alive or dead. They sale traps that do both. Seal up any holes you think they may getting in through too.
- lysol liquid mixed with hot water
